The TRiO Society, which supports Student Support Services, is one of the largest and most active student organizations on Chipola's campus.
TRiO Society encourages student self-development, commitment to academics, and dedication to community involvement. TRiO Society provides opportunities for students to gain leadership experience, perform community service and promote academic and personal success. TRiO Society is a great way for students to connect with other SSS students and enhance the college experience.
TRiO Society Bylaws
We the members of the TRiO Society, in order to promote civic engagement within our communities; further student leadership; and expand relationships with our local and state clubs; do hereby establish this constitution to aid in the promotion of student activities and support.
Events and Activities
The goal of SSS is to increase the retention and graduation rates of its participants and to help students make the transition from one level of higher education to the next. To enhance the college experience, TRiO Society members participate in many activities and special events both on campus and in the community - including workshops on Business and Careers, Financial Aid and Scholarships, and College Transfer; University Visits; community service projects such as Donuts with Dudes, Backpacks for Kids, and Breast Cancer Awareness; and student activities like Fall Festival, SSS Welcome Back Celebration, Club Day and Homecoming.
